Welcome to our oil and perfume collection honoring the beauty of Día de los Muertos.
This has truly been such an emotional collection to create. The inspiration for it struck at the most unlikely moment, and at first I wasn’t even sure I wanted to pursue the project. But the more I sat with the idea, the more it felt right.
I wanted to create something that honored this beautiful holiday, the Mexican people in my life, and my oldest son’s heritage. But this collection also became something deeply personal to me in the process…a labor of love dedicated to Santa Muerte, who has guided me through some of the hardest parts of the past few years and has never let me down.
Santa Muerte and Día de los Muertos are not the same tradition, and I never want to blur that distinction. My devotion to her is simply part of what made creating this collection so meaningful to me. In many ways, I wanted this collection to be a thank-you to her people and her culture for sharing her with me, for allowing me to encounter her, love her, learn from her, and find comfort and strength in her when I needed it most.
There is something incredibly beautiful to me about the way Día de los Muertos makes space for both grief and joy, for missing someone while still celebrating that they existed, for preparing a place for them, speaking their names, remembering what they loved, and allowing that love to remain part of the lives of those still here. The ability to do this, to me, shows the strength and beauty of the Mexican people and their culture.
I hope that as you explore this collection, you’ll take the time to read the story behind each oil and perfume and learn what inspired me to create it. None of these were made simply because I thought they would smell beautiful or look beautiful on a shelf. Every one of them has a reason for being here.
There were many tears shed while I created this collection…tears for the people I love who are no longer here, tears over the incredible beauty and tenderness of Día de los Muertos, and tears for the Hispanic communities in this country who are facing so much fear and uncertainty right now. All of those emotions found their way into this work.
More than anything, creating this collection reminded me that culture lives through people…through their families, their stories, their food, their traditions, their faith, their grief, their joy, and the ways they remember the people who came before them.
I also want to give a very personal thank-you to my Hispanic friends, and particularly my Mexican friends, who have welcomed me into their cultural celebrations, shared their traditions with me, embraced me with so much love, and helped me throughout the creation of this collection. Thank you for answering my questions, sharing your perspectives, helping me understand the things I didn’t know, and allowing me to learn from you.
I will be forever grateful for the way you have welcomed me into this tradition over the past few years. Being taught about Día de los Muertos and being invited to participate in it has given me experiences that are genuinely priceless to me. It has given me new and beautiful ways to remember, honor, and feel connected to the people I love who have passed. Those are experiences I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and there really aren’t words big enough to say thank you for that.
And in a way I never expected, being welcomed into this tradition also brought me closer to my own heritage. Seeing the beauty of Día de los Muertos made me wonder what traditions surrounding death and remembrance existed within my own Sicilian culture. That curiosity led me to learn about Sicily’s Festa dei Morti and the ways generations before me remembered and maintained relationships with their dead. Now my family and I have the opportunity to celebrate and learn about these parts of our respective heritages side by side while sharing something that connects them both: love for the people who came before us.
I don’t know that I ever would have gone looking for that piece of my own culture if I hadn’t first been taught about Día de los Muertos. That is another gift this tradition—and the people who shared it with me—gave to my family.
This collection is more beautiful and more meaningful because of you.
I also thought seriously about what it meant for me to create and profit from something inspired by a culture that is not my own. If I was going to create this collection as an expression of genuine love and respect for Mexican culture, I wanted to approach that responsibility thoughtfully. I didn’t want to simply take inspiration from something so meaningful, package it into something beautiful, and have that appreciation end with something that solely benefited me and my business.
Because of that, a portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to the Acacia Center for Justice’s Children’s Legal Support Fund (also referred to as the Field Stabilization Fund), which provides grants to legal service providers who are dedicated to representing unaccompanied children.
This collection was created for my loved ones, for Santa Muerte, for the people who so generously shared pieces of their culture, homes and hearts with me, and with an enormous amount of love, grief, gratitude, remembrance, and respect.
I hope you take a little time with each piece. Read its story. Learn why it exists. And I hope that somewhere within this collection, you find something that reminds you of someone you love, too.

Description
Santa Muerte Cempasúchil is a seasonal ritual and devotional oil created in honor of La Santísima during the Día de los Muertos season. Worked specifically for release, protection, guidance, transition, and renewal, this formula is made for the spaces between what has ended and what has not yet begun.
There are moments when we know something is over long before we know what comes next. A relationship ends. An old identity no longer fits. A chapter closes. Grief changes shape. A road we expected to follow disappears beneath our feet. These are threshold moments, times when we are no longer who or where we were, but have not yet arrived on the other side.
Santa Muerte Cempasúchil was created for those crossings.

This oil also serves as a seasonal devotional offering to La Santísima. Día de los Muertos and Santa Muerte devotion are distinct traditions, and this formula is not intended to present Santa Muerte as a traditional figure of Día de los Muertos. Instead, it reflects my own devotion to her during a season in which death, remembrance, transition, and the enduring relationship between the living and the dead are brought beautifully to the forefront.

Overall Scent: Warm, earthy, woody, floral, and gently sweet. The distinctive green-floral character of cempasúchil is surrounded by sweet tobacco and blue agave before settling into palo santo, sandalwood, earthy cannabis, and deep agarwood. Jalapeño contributes a subtle warmth rather than overt heat, while dark chocolate and a traditional horchata profile of creamy rice milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar soften the blend without turning it into a conventional gourmand fragrance.
How to Use
As an anointing and ritual oil:

It can be worked while establishing an altar, cleansing and preparing the area, dedicating it to the people being honored, and setting spiritual boundaries around a place where the living and the dead are intentionally invited to meet.
Protection is an important part of that purpose. Creating space for your beloved dead does not have to mean throwing the doors open to everything. Ofrenda is worked with the intention that the space be welcoming to those being honored while remaining protected and intentionally defined.

Pure Tagetes essential oil gives the fragrance its distinctive cempasúchil character. Pan de muerto—bread of the dead—is one of the foods most closely associated with Día de los Muertos. Pan de Muerto contains a warm blend of Star Anise, Orange Peel, Cempasúchil, Tobacco, Allspice, Clove, Calendula, and Honey, selected within this formula around offering, warmth, hospitality, gratitude, and nourishment.
Honey sits naturally at the center of the formula's offering symbolism, bringing sweetness and generosity to the work. Orange peel, star anise, allspice, and clove create warmth and abundance, while cempasúchil connects the formula to Día de los Muertos and the welcoming of the dead.

A pinch of biodegradable glitter is added to resemble the sugar sparkling across the surface of pan de muerto. It isn't included for a magical correspondence—it's simply a tiny detail meant to carry a little more of the bread itself into the appearance of the oil.

Pan de Muerto is unapologetically warm and gourmand. The fragrance was built to suggest sweet bread, almond, creamy horchata, orange, and aromatic spice rather than smelling like a generic bakery fragrance.

Huellitas is a ritual oil created for the animals we have loved, lost, and still carry with us.
In contemporary Día de los Muertos observance, October 27 has become associated with remembering deceased pets and welcoming their spirits home, with families creating pet ofrendas containing photographs, candles, flowers, favorite toys, food, water, collars, and other things connected to the animals they loved. This particular October 27 observance is a newer tradition rather than an ancient or universal Día de los Muertos custom, but the sentiment behind it fits beautifully within the larger season of remembrance: they were family, too.
Huellitas—little paw prints—was created for that love.
