Friday the 25th opens with the chill of lake water and ice along the shore. Wet cedar comes through next, like old dock boards after the snow starts to melt. There’s a cold mineral edge to the water and a little black pepper in the drydown, where dark musk settles in like the last of the light disappearing across the lake.
